Promotional Ideas for Bike Month

Visuals always help

Ask your webmaster to place one of our Bike Month web-ads on your workplace or department's homepage, with a link to www.biketoworkday.org. We expect the new Bike Month graphics to be up by early April. Make sure you request that the graphics are removed from your site by June 1.

Create your own website or spreadsheet

During the 2003, amazon.com employee Jim Carson hosted his own Commute Challenge website.
Sean Cryan, of the architectural firm Mithun, created an elaborate spreadsheet to keep track of the 16 teams at architecture firms. The firms competed against one-another, which helped their teams sweep the team of the year awards in every category!

Bike Month Posters & Commute Booklets

A picture says a thousand words. A great way to increase exposure of your message is a poster. Display posters in your office, lunch room or on a bulletin board. Hand out Bike Month Commute Booklets at the office.

Print your own Bike Month poster (available April 2010) or send an email to Peter Verbrugge requesting copies. Make sure you indicate your name, the quantity (posters, size and booklets) you desire and your address. We have both 8 1/2 x 11 and 11 x 17 color posters available, while supplies last.
